General Policies

It is our policy to accommodate you and your furbaby(s) with the best possible care while you are away or unable to care for them.  While in our care, and unless otherwise requested, we will ONLY walk dogs from the same households.  We will never combine your dog’s walk with another client’s and we will NEVER wear earbuds while your dog is in our care. If your dog has friends in the neighborhood, please make us aware of it and we will allow them to say “hello” in passing.

We NEVER visit dog parks or any other off leash areas, unless it is already a part of your building and your pet is permitted in that area.  Your furbaby deserves our complete attention.

If you’re a new client, a pre-visit meet and greet is required to best fulfill your needs.

It is recommended that you reserve your visit a minimum of 48 hours in advance. However, you may request a visit up until 12 hours before the requested time.  For services requested later then that cut off time, please email us at denverfurbaby@gmail.com or call 303-519-9891.  Note: There will be a $5 surcharge for late bookings.

We often have waiting lists for dog walking and as a result we request that you cancel services before 6pm on the prior workday before the walk.  Cancellations after that time will be subject to a 50% service fee.

Veterinary Policies

Every animal for which service is requested must be current on its rabies vaccinations.

Under advisement, you give permission to Denver Furbaby Valet to to seek veterinary service from veterinarian or vet clinic indicated on the information page for your pet and you assume full responsibility for the payment and/or reimbursement for any and all veterinary services rendered, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, medical supplies and boarding. Such payments will be made within 30 days of the initial incident.

Other policies

  • Keys:  Denver Furbaby Valet requires two (2) sets of keys on file to enter the property; this would include fobs, key cards, multi-lock keys or any other special security keys needed to enter the property.  Keys can be kept with the door person as long as it’s accessible to us at time of visit.  Keys can be kept in a lockbox that the client provides.  Denver Furbaby Valet can not be responsible for keys left in lockboxes or the lockbox itself.
  • Payment:  Currently Denver Furbaby Valet accepts payment through Paypal and via credit cards.
  • Medications:  Denver Furbaby Valet’s walkers/sitters will attempt to administer all medications as directed by the primary caregiver but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result.  If there is a fear that an animal will react negatively to the administration of a medication (bite, severely scratch or claw the caregiver) the sitter/walker reserves the right to not administer the medication. The sitter/walker will inform you of such as soon as possible.
  • Pet Guardianship:  In the unfortunate event that you become incapacitated while your pet(s) are in our care, please name the person who should be contacted to become their temporary guardian until care can be provided as arranged for in your legal documents.  We urge you to address the care of your pet(s) when planning your estate. Be sure that the person named is aware of your appointing them as guardian.
